We had a beautiful couple of days for the last weekend of the festival: lovely weather, huge crowds, and a Celtic Christmas theme that had everybody in the holiday shopping mood. It was great! I sold out of ocarinas by three o'clock on Sunday afternoon. (Yay for having money to buy a new transmission!) The rest of the day was spent walking around the fair instead of working. I watched a couple of shows that I've been wanting to see for years, and at the end of the day I went up to the arena to see the fireworks show. It is so much more spectacular from the top of the hill than it is through the trees behind the cart.

The end of a show is always a little sad, especially when I know I won't be going on the road again for a while. Today, people are packing up to go to Louisiana and Florida and Arizona. Part of me is just dying to do the same--I'll miss having friends nearby--but mostly I'm just looking forward to staying in one place to rest.

It would have been wonderful to have been there. I wanted to go again so badly, but money has been tight. It is sad to watch your friends leave, but I'm sure you'll enjoy the rest.

It *was* incredible. I had a great time --except for a yuck tarot reading-- and I know I'll go there again.

A yuck tarot reading? Oooh, did you go to the skinny brown-haired lady near my pushcart? Lady Lorana, or something like that? I've talked to her a few times. She recently broke up with her husband or boyfriend or something and she's very bitter about it. I wouldn't be surprised if she let that color all of her readings. Also, the lady is about as psychic as a potato chip.

Don't hesitate to drop me a line whenever you decide to go again. I get complimentary tickets in my contract packet every year, and they usually just go to waste.

Is she the one that was in the house type thing? I went upstairs to talk to her and all she did was curse, yell, and talk about how much I wanted girls. She got me totally wrong, obviously! I didn't care much for her language either ... I wonder if that was Lady Lorana?
