Right now I'm hiding in the showerhouse of the campground with my computer because my son's best friend is having a mohawk party. Basically, that means tons of people are hanging out in my front yard while a four year old little girl gets her hair cut into a mohawk. Hair cutting seriously freaks me out. Head shaving really, really freaks me out. Seeing pretty blond curls turn into a three inch pink and green mohawk is just more than I can handle.

But... why are they doing this? O_O

Cuddle your laptop tight and do a happy dance with it... (in the showerhouse)! ;)

*cuddles laptop, the cure for all ills* :)

She really wants a mohawk and has been pestering her parents about it for months. I guess they figure that since it is just hair, why not? Besides, both her parents have unconventional hair. Also, though most of her hair is curly and blond, part of it is in dreadlocks. Oh, and one of those dreadlocks is purple. She's a firecracker!

How bizarre.

*nod*

My brother came home from the army with a mohawk once and my mother cried out,

"What have they done with my baby?!"

Yep. Totally bizarre.

Hee hee. I think I would be okay with my baby having a mohawk...at least when he's 12 years old or so.

Hi!

[livejournal.com profile] jaiden_s told me that you're working the Texas Ren-fest? That's awesome! I'll be visiting the faire for my first time this weekend. I hope it's all that I've hoped it to be!

Hi Daniel!

A friend of Jai's and a Ren-fest virgin? Oh my, you're gong to have so much fun!

Stop by my pushcart if you get a chance. I work at the ocarina cart from about noon to dusk; it's right in front of the Falcon Stage where they do the Birds of Prey show. We can gossip about Jai or talk Wraeththu or something. :)

Hey Lori!

I was looking for you Saturday. I was pretty sure I found you and I was standing RIGHT in front of your cart looking at you. You were talking to a group of guys that were sitting near you on a bench, and one was an older man wearing chain mail, I believe ... Anyway, I couldn't decide if it was you or not and then I got super shy! Were you wearing a gown like costume and do you have long dark hair? *hopes I remember properly* If it was then I'm so sorry we didn't meet! It's horrible because I was like three feet away from you!

Anyway, my family wants to go after hearing about it and I think I may go with them again. Maybe we'll see each other then?

Have a great one!
Daniel

Aw. I'm so sorry I missed you!

I think that probably was me. I have no idea who I was talking to, but I do have long dark hair, and I was wearing a gray gown like costume on Saturday. Silly me, I should have given you a better description; that place is overwhelming even after working there for years! I would have done exactly the same thing in your place.

Please do stop by if you decide to come back with your family. You sound like a really nice person!

It's okay! I'm pretty sure that was you now, so I'll be sure to stop by if we get the chance to go again. I really, really want to go so I'll try my best!

You sound like a great person too and I'm glad we've been able to connect!
